Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing is a slow walk through the woodland during which you will experience nature directly; through hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting and touching. Other senses are heightened too; perhaps the imaginal sense or the heart sense or the felt sense. As sensory experience only happens in the present, you will begin to appreciate the joys of simply being, allowing for deeper connection with yourself, with others and with nature.

What’s Involved?

The typical forest bathing walk that Liz leads lasts about 2 hours, and involves no swimming but some gentle walking (covering less than a mile). During the walk, Liz offers a series of invitations which support the sensory experience and the walk ends with a tea “ceremony” (foraged or herbal tea and snacks).

What Shall I Wear?

If the weather is cool / wet, we can’t stress enough how important it is to wrap up warm **as you will not generate any heat during the walk**. So just a reminder in that case to wear warm clothing, walking shoes or boots, couple of pairs of socks, long trousers (there are some nettles around!) and full waterproofs if its raining.  The trail may also be muddy in parts.

Cancellation

Please let us know 72 hours in advance of the walk if you need to cancel in order to receive a full refund or to transfer your payment to another walk.

Rain/ High Wind

If heavy rain/high wind is forecast, the forest bathing walk will not go ahead for safety reasons and you will be notified 24 hours in advance of the scheduled walk.  If this is the case, you will receive a full refund or you may transfer your payment to another walk.
