Land Art with Ruth Brotherton – FREE Community Event
Be inspired to create beautiful, temporary artworks from natural materials, in amongst the woodlands of Broughton Sanctuary.
Land Art with Ruth Brotherton
10am to 12.30pm
Adults 16+
In this creative and collaborative workshop you will be guided to work mindfully and gain a sense of nature connectedness: slowing down, stepping back and opening the senses. You will explore the natural environment, focusing in particular on elements of line, shape, colour, pattern and texture.
Through collecting materials found on the woodland floor, such as leaves, flowers, twigs or seeds, we will create varied pieces together at ground level or hanging up in the trees.
Land Art is art made entirely with natural materials found on site. It is ephemeral and impermanent – designed to decay and return to the environment from where it came.
No artistic experience needed!
