Land Art with Ruth Brotherton
In this creative and collaborative workshop you will be guided to work mindfully and gain a sense of nature connectedness: slowing down, stepping back and opening the senses. You will explore the natural environment, focusing in particular on elements of line, shape, colour, pattern and texture- collecting and selecting materials found on the forest floor to create varied pieces both at ground level and hanging up in the trees.
Land Art is art made entirely with natural materials found on site. It is ephemeral and impermanent – designed to decay and return to the environment from where it came.
This workshop is part of our programme of free community events, tickets are complimentary.
Please note: this is a drop in session and you can come anytime between 10am – 3pm. This event is for adults and children of all ages but we ask that all children to be accompanied by an adult at all times so please book a ticket for everyone in your party in attendance.
