Yin Yoga
In this meditative class we descend into the inner landscape to meet ourselves intimately. Slowing down is a radical antidote to our fast-paced world and brings an opportunity to listen to our body-mind and our own innate intelligence. Postures are held in relative stillness for 2 – 5 minutes at a time to work deeply into the fascia, clear and mobilise the energy meridians, and exercise the joints. With a particular focus on soothing and restoring the nervous system to support life-balance, Yin Yoga at Avalon draws upon somatic approaches, mindfulness, intuitive movement, classical non-dual Tantra, Chinese medicine, and is accompanied by ethereal soundscapes to help you unwind. These multi-dimensional, deeply replenishing classes provide space for loving-kindness, deep presence and self-realisation.
