Danielle is an experienced and knowledgeable herbalist who uses natural medicine and nutrition to achieve health, harmony and balance in her patients. Danielle qualified with a first-class BSc (Hons) degree in Herbal Medicine in 2011 has been in full-time practice ever since, practicing as a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists.
Danielle has always had a deep love and admiration for nature, along with a keen interest in natural health and wellbeing. She completed a BSc (Hons) Environmental Science degree then spent three months in the Peruvian Amazon in 2001 volunteering for a conservation charity. She then worked for environmental regeneration charity ‘Groundwork’ in Birmingham for a few years until the birth of her daughter when she felt the calling to get out of the city, and head back home to the north to train as a Herbalist.
After graduating, she worked at The Otley Apothecary in West Yorkshire for 3 years, whilst also building up her own practice closer to home. Seven years on, she routinely treats all manner of health complaints from simple colds and flu to infertility, gynaecological complaints, ME/CFS, heart and circulatory disorders, digestive problems and inflammatory bowel disease, stress, anxiety and depression and much, much more. Prevention is better than cure and Danielle works closely with her patients to optimise their health and wellbeing, with the aim of minimising or preventing illness.
Danielle facilitates many health and Wellbeing workshops which help people connect to nature, experience the deep healing effects of being in the outdoors and empowering people how to use natural medicines for themselves to be able to make informed choices about their own health. With a particular interest in women’s health, Danielle has run women’s health retreats and workshops, plus earth and seasonal celebrations, helping people live more harmoniously with nature’s cycles.
