Tierney has been a registered Massage Therapist for over 10 years now. Starting her studies in Swedish Massage at Craven College, she then went onto pursue her passion and study a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science at Loughborough University. Since then she has completed a course in Sports Massage Therapy. Tierney likes to incorporate different massage techniques with her treatments, such as Swedish massage, myofascial release, sports massage, trigger point therapy and acupuncture. By combining these different techniques, her massages make for a relaxing, yet effective experience in relieving tight muscles from every day use – or indeed injuries from overuse.
Tierney decided to pursue a career as a Massage Therapy because she loves to help people. She finds such fulfilment in knowing she has made a difference in helping her clients feel better.
Alongside her Massage qualifications, Tierney also has a qualification in Personal Training and takes pride in the knowledge that after sharing her work, her clients are able to move better and with less pain. She’s also a keen sports women who can regularly be found doing laps of the pool, or riding her bike and running in the beautiful grounds of the Broughton Hall Estate.
