Land Art Drop-in FREE Community Event

Learn how to create beautiful, temporary artworks from natural materials, in amongst the inspiring woodlands of Broughton Sanctuary.

Drop in any time from 10am (last entry 2pm)

In this creative drop-in session, you will be guided to explore the natural environment, focusing in particular on elements of line, shape, colour, pattern and texture. Through collecting and selecting materials found on the woodland floor, such as leaves, flowers, twigs or seeds, you will create varied pieces at ground level or hanging up in the trees. You will be invited to work mindfully and gain a sense of nature connectedness: slowing down, stepping back and opening the senses.

Land Art is art made entirely with natural materials found in the woodlands. It is ephemeral and impermanent – designed to decay and return to the environment from where it came.

Please note: this is a drop in session and you can come anytime from 10am (last entry 2pm, and the event finishes at 3pm). This event is for adults and children of all ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult so please book a ticket for everyone in your party who will be attending the session.
