Willow Weaving Workshop for Families
Willow weaving workshop for families with Joe Gregory
Learn weaving techniques in this fun, relaxed workshop. Suitable for children of 5 years and up, accompanied by an adult. Create your own willow bird seed feeder, incorporating the cornucopia weave with its long folk history. The workshop is great for hand eye coordination, simple maths and pattern recognition, as well as being a lot of fun. The sweet little basket you’ll create can be used for bird seed, or for many other uses around the house or garden.
Joe Gregory has been teaching willow basketry and sculpture for over 10 years. Based in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, she teaches across Yorkshire, as well as nationally and internationally. We’re delighted to welcome her to Broughton Sanctuary for two willow weaving workshops in the Easter holidays.

At 10.30am on the same day, there’s also a workshop for adults (16+), please click here for more details.
